![]() The amount of people in this thread who have clearly never gotten a fedex package that required a signature, but are still arguing with OP blows my mind. Why would he walk up with the package, ring, wait a reasonable amount of time, determine no one is home, go back to the truck to get the doortag after determining no one is home, then return with the doortag and the package if he determined no one was home. The argument "he must have rang first with the package then walked back to the truck" makes no fucking sense. As for why he had the box in hand, it's most likely in case the homeowner comes right then, he can just hand him the package and not walk back to the truck. They absolutely just walk up with the doortag. Fedex should lower the price for delivery if the drivers consistently do this, which they do.įedex drivers do not even try at all to ring for signatures. Realistically, it isn't a huge deal, but when you pay X dollars for a service such as delivery, that is as straightforward as you pay X dollars and get it in Y days, but you actually get it in Y+1(or more) days, as a customer it is just fucked. Every time the delivery dickhead just puts a doortag on the door and I have to sign it and wait an extra day. Never once has anyone heard the doorbell ring for a package. I get fedex packages all the time where the signature is required. There are 4 people living in my home, and someone is always at the house.
